What A Difference A Day Makes

**GREY'S ANATOMY HUGE, MAJOR SPOILER! DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED YET!**

Izzie: (narrating) "You never know the biggest day of your life is going to be the biggest. (sigh) The days you think are going to be big ones, they're never as big as you make them out to be in your head. It's the regular days, the ones that start out normal, those are the days that end up being the biggest, and today was the wedding. It was beautiful. (sigh) Perfect."

Last night's Grey's episode was A-MAZING! I started to panic when Curtis Smith interrupted TWICE in the first 6 minutes with a severe weather alert. If he interrupted a third time, I swore I would call INC and explain nicely to them that I had been looking forward to this episode for a long time and was going to be extremely disappointed if it was interrupted again. We all have the internet!! We can find out about severe weather there! Besides, not even a tornado would've kept me from watching last night!

Meredith: "Just a normal day."
Derek: "Normal day. Going to work."
M: (sigh) "Just a normal day that ends in a ceremony in a churchy church."
D: "This has nothing to do with us. We're just the bride and groom."
M: "We're getting married tonight."
D: "We're getting married tonight."
Then they both smile at each other :o)

Cristina: "Big day! Biggest day of your life!"
Meredith: "Don't do that. Don't do the peppy maid of honor thing. It's creepy."
C: "Really? Good. Wait, is this like the calm before the storm? Do you need me to drug you or shave off your eyebrows to numb you into submission?"
M: "No, I'm fine! It's not the biggest day of MY life, it's the biggest day of Izzie's life. I'm excited about the marriage, not some wedding. Anyways, she's the one who's gone all bridezilla."
C: "Bridezillllaaaaaaa."

Never in a million years would I have guessed that this episode would've ended the way it did. Well, actually I DID guess it about 5 minutes before it happened :o) Derek and Meredith GAVE their wedding to Izzie and Karev!!

Izzie started to show symptoms of having another brain tumor. Derek found a TINY tumor and knew he could do nothing to help her. After hearing Izzie talk about how Alex is her true love, Derek goes to find Meredith. She thanks him for the wedding gift, a solo colonectomy surgery, and he asks if she wants to make the day even better. THAT'S when I knew!

Meredith showed up in Izzie's room with her wedding dress, claiming that it wasn't her dress. Izzie starts to freak out, saying she KNEW Meredith was going to try to back out. Bailey's just standing in the doorway smiling. Finally, Karev walks in and explains that the dress is not Meredith's, it's hers!

The church was packed! Actually, if you rewind and look at the crowd in the very beginning, you can see Derek sitting in a pew, third or fourth row back :o) Izzie starts walking down the aisle toward Karev, Cristina (maid of honor), and Meredith (best "man"). She gets light-headed and George quickly steps to her side and says, "here, take my hand." He walks her down the aisle. Aww!! She gets to the end and Alex says his vows. You can NOT tell me you were not bawling like a baby when he said his vows! They kiss, they are married!

Alex takes Izzie back to the hospital and puts her into bed. He takes the flower out of her hair and out with it comes a chunk of hair. He said she doesn't need it; she'd be beautiful bald. Denny agreed. It was implied that she shaved it after that.

We all know this is Izzie's last season. To my surprise, this was NOT the season finale! Next week is the 2 hour finale and her last episode. I'm guessing that with the tumor being too small to take out, she will probably die.
