Spring Fling Gift Exchange!

I don't know about you all but I am SO ready for the spring weather to come and STAY.  I am excited to get the windows open and clean my house.  I'm excited to sweep my car out.  I'm excited to get all of the patio furniture and kids' toys out of the shed.  I'm excited for flip flops and skirts. 

In honor of the arrival of spring, I am hosting a Spring Fling Gift Exchange! 

It's simple... From now through April 14, comment below if you would like to participate.  Be sure to include your email address in your comment because the person that comments after you will need to contact you so they can send you a little gifty!  Obviously, that would mean that you will need to contact the person that commented before you because you get to send them a little something... Sound fun?  I think so! 

There are no guidelines for your Spring Fling gift.  You can make something or buy something... OR, in true spring cleaning fashion, you could go the white elephant route and gift something of your own that you are getting rid of!  I personally will most likely include a bunch of my favorite things that make me think spring!

The first person that comments will be sending their gift to ME!  The last commenter will receive a gift from me :o)  Please have your Spring Fling gift postmarked by April 30 so nobody gets forgotten!

Is that a lamb I see?

You know the saying, "March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb."  We have had our fair share of lions this month with the weather and all the illnesses.  Yesterday, a little lamb started to peek his head out from behind that monstrous lion.  I love that little lamb :o)



The weather was awesome!  The girls went 24 hours without throwing up!

We were able to get outside and test drive our warm-weather vehicles.  Jaden has that pedaling thing mastered!  I've already set driving boundaries.  Taylor, well she is just content hanging out in her car with the windows down, listening to the radio :o)

Jude was even excited to have the front windows open!

Thank you, little lamb!  This was EXACTLY what we all needed!  Have a great weekend!

Easter Advent!

Hippity hoppity Easter's on the way!

Remember when I made my gigantic Christmas advent calendar?  Well, J loved it so much, I decided to do a countdown for every holiday (Valentine's Day passed already?)!  A lady I worked with gave me this wire bunny egg holder (you can also buy them at JoAnn -- They have other shapes too).  I filled it with plastic Easter eggs.  It holds 13 eggs so 13 days before Easter, I set it out!  Each day, J gets to open an egg!

She loves it :o)  Each night, she sets her empty egg out and the Easter Bunny comes and gets it in the night so he can fill it for Easter!

No More Fever!

Ahhh... finally after months of cold weather and cabin fever, we are able to take our after-dinner walks! 

We had our own little parade through the neighborhood :o)

It was really nice to get some fresh air and sunshine!  Now we need our muddy backyard to dry up so we can get the toys out!

Think Spring!

I have some SERIOUS spring fever going on!  So much so that I got excited when they said there was a chance for SPRINKLES today!!  Bring on the rain :o)

So, this weekend, I was determined to make a wreath like I featured a couple of Fridays ago.  I went to Hobby Lobby (I haven't been there since college... so fun!) and saw some gorgeous springy flowers on sale for 50% off... can't beat that!  Then, I was going to get a wire wreath frame but saw this one and immediately fell in love :o)

Check out the details!

First, I pulled all of the individual flower stems off of the bundles.

Then, I just arranged them and glued them down!  Easy peasy!

Ta-da!!

I can't wait to get some wide ribbon to hang it with... when all of the snow has melted.

Oh, and did I mention that you absolutely MUST have two adorable little helpers?

Total cost: $6.  Seriously!  It took about 15 minutes too.  I'll post an updated pic when I have it hung :o)
