Celebrating with the Kiddos!

The girls had their annual ornament making and cookie decorating party to jump start the holidays for them and their friends!

We made lots of cut-out cookies for decorating!

They had their party at Bisque It Pottery Painting Studio.  First, they all painted an ornament!

We left the ornaments there to be fired in the kiln.  They all turned out so good!

Next was the cookie decorating!  Each kiddo was given four sugar cookies to frost and sprinkle.

They were allowed to eat ONLY ONE cookie and take the other three home with them :o)

They had a lot of fun!!

Shanterest: Happiness is...

Day 10: Happiness is...

I love this quote! I thought it would be perfect on a coffee mug painted at Bisque It!

Love it :o)

Jaden's Royal Birthday Ball - Part 1

Way back in April, my little princess turned five years old! After many discussions between her and I, Jaden decided that the theme for her party was totally going to be, "ALL the princesses!"

The first celebration was with her friends at Bisque It Pottery Painting Studio!

Mom put her Cricut to work and helped me cut out the goodie bags and cupcake toppers.

Hint: When frosting cupcakes, even if you use store-bought frosting, put it in a pastry bag or decorator.  Then, just swirl a dollop on top!  They look like you got them from a professional baker, and it's way easier and a lot less messy!

That is Jaden and her prince.  She absolutely had to invite him because, "You can't have a princess party without your prince!"

Her bestest buds gathered to create some pretty neat princess pottery pieces!

The prince painted a Spiderman box :o)

The kids had a lot of fun and their pieces turned out really good!

Taylor was a little bummed (in her own 2-year-old way) that she didn't get to help J blow out her candles, so we re-lit them and let her have her own moment!

Jaden's friends were really generous.  She got some pretty awesome gifts!

I made princess (and Spiderman) coloring books for each of the kids.  DisneyPrincess.com has some awesome printable coloring pages for every one of the princesses!  I printed them, copied them, and bound them into a coloring book!

It was a great turn out!  I love the girls' friends :o)

See part 2 here!  Lots of great ideas and recipes!
