Jaden and I went to the zoo on Saturday. It was a very busy zoo day, but fun nonetheless! Jaden especially enjoyed the orangutans this trip because they were swinging around a lot. She just HAD to get out of her wagon to take a closer look!! I noticed that there were BATS in the rainforest!! How have I never noticed them before?? They aren't small bats like in the bat cave (?) but rather HUGE!! You should've seen the wingspan on these suckers! Needless to say, we turned around and passed on the rain forest this time. It was actually because the line was at a stand-still the entire length of the trail, not because of the bats. I'm learning that the rain forest is a pretty scary place! First mice, now bats... yikes! Maybe rabid chimps next time?
