I guess because I'm a mom and my kids are so stinkin' adorable, I'm under obligation to force you to look at them in their cutsie matching outfits, hunting for eggs on Easter. Because I don't want to lose my title as Mom of the Year, here you go!

Crescent Carrots!
So, you're on Pinterest, right? A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to a PINTEREST PARTY! I know, right? Awesome. It was so much fun and a really cool idea. I'll post more about it later, but my contribution came in the form of these babies:
Super easy to make! Just follow along :o)
Ingredients
2 tubes of refrigerated crescent roll dough
Orange food coloring
Endive lettuce
½ lb. sandwich spread
You'll also need cream horn cones... It sounds really strange, but they are actually pretty neat! I got mine at a kitchen store and paid only a couple of bucks for a box of six. J said they looked like tiny party hats :o)
---
Ok, first spread your dough out and pinch all of the seams together.
Next, cut the dough into six equal strips. Roll each strip so it makes a long, skinny snake (technical food terms here!)
Then, wrap each snake around your cream horn cones. Make sure there is cone sticking out of the top or else it might make removing them a little difficult.
Next, mix up a little orange food coloring (red and yellow make orange... in case you failed art) and paint it on the rolls with a basting brush. I added a couple of drops of water to thin it out a bit.
Bake according to the directions on the crescent tube.
Remove the tiny party hats to reveal a perfect cone that just screams, "stuff me!"
For the stuffing, I used chicken salad that I bought from my deli. You could use anything really. I wanted to make egg salad to stuff in it (as a ways to use up Easter eggs), but sadly, I do not know how to make it.
Put your sandwich spread in a plastic baggie.
Snip the corner off of the bag.
Fill your cones!
Finally, stick a leaf of lettuce in the top! I like the endive lettuce because it looks more like a carrot top.
There you have it! Cutsie little Easter sandwiches!

Thanks to Beth at Hungry Happenings for inspiring these tasty sandwiches! Gotta love Pinterest ;o)

I'm linking these up to my favorite linky parties AND adding them to the book... Did you know I'm writing a book? Well, a collaboration with my bestie from the westie :o) Due out sometime in the next 50 years or so... Anyway, ENJOY!

We're huntin' WASCALLY WABBITS!
We're going to see the Easter Bunny, Taylor. I'll hold your hand so you're not scared. He's nice!
Taylor spotted him!
Jaden didn't hesitate at all to go sit with him!
Taylor wasn't too sure...
Jaden: "Hey Easter Bunny, do you want to come to my house?"
Easter Bunny shakes head no.
Me: "Yeah Jaden, the Easter Bunny will leave you eggs on Easter, right Easter Bunny?"
Easter Bunny gets it now... He points to me and shakes his head!
What? Did he really think she was asking him to come over TONIGHT?
Although, she probably would have!
Yeah... Taylor felt safer on the other side of the fence.
Jaden is now more confidant that she will have a visit from EB after her birthday :o) Trip=success!
P.S. Today is the last day to sign up for my Spring Fling gift exchange! Click the banner at the top of the post to go there now!

Happy Easter!!
Bunnies, eggs, and chocolate, oh my!
Mike and I took the girls to the mall to visit with the Easter Bunny once again this year. As you know, last year Jaden would only give EB a high five... while holding Dad's hand. This year, we asked her to sit next to him and hold her sister. Although the was a little nervous when EB put his arm around her, she did not cry!! Yea!
Jaden and I painted eggs this year. Unlike last year, we used vinegar and had lovely, bright eggs!
Easter morning, Jaden got to hunt for eggs at home.
Jude was her little helper :o)
The girls' baskets...
T loves her new shades :o)
Can you believe my little peach is starting to "crawl" already?!?
J in her pretty spring Easter outfit... Thanks Aunt Nancy!
Easter dinner at Gramma Pat's house... I had twins!! Mike said, "You better take a picture so you can blog it!" Whatever you say, dear ;o)
Gramma J and Grampa Max had a chat with the Easter Bunny too. Once again, J was a pro at finding the eggs!
My cute little family!
This may be the worst picture my family has ever taken :o) Mom, I hope the one on your camera is better! Mike is sleeping. J and T are looking at what I assume is the Easter Bunny hopping by. I am testing my vocals for my upcoming solo. Mom is doing her best super model wind-blown impression. Dad is about to puke all over me and my solo-singing beauty. Shane!! He took a good picture!! Usually he is the only one with the goofy look... I think I'll blow this one up and hang it above the fireplace :o)
Checking out all of the goodies!
T got some rice biscuits from Gramma Pat and Grampa Wayne... YUM!!
Hope you all had a nice Easter!!
