Yesterday, the girls earned their first badge in the Badges of Fun challenge! To earn their badges, they created yard art in the form of wind chimes made from clay at Bisque It Pottery Painting Studio!
**NOTE TO FORT WAYNE AREA READERS: Go paint at Bisque It (Coldwater Road, just north of Cook Road) and mention my blog to receive 10% off your total!**
First, they had to roll the clay out.
Next, the girls cut out the shape of their wind chimes. Then, I stamped Taylor's with flowers and Jaden's with ladybugs. The girls then painted their chimes. I painted the larger piece that all of the chimes will hang from.
Grace and Caroline made their wind chimes heart-shaped!
The wind chimes have to be fired in the kiln before we can hang them outside. I can't wait to see how they turn out! The girls all did a great job :o)
Afterwards, I took the girls to Wendy's for dinner before heading home.
When we got home, the girls got to hang their badges on their badge posters.
Then, they got their certificates to show that they completed the first activity!
Good job girls!!

It was lots of fun. Grace talked about Jaden all night to her dad. Maybe next time we will get more time to visit. The Dickmeyers are excited for the next badge.
What a super fun day out! Need to add our local pottery painting studio to our summer list!
