Bring On the Sunshine!!

Just a little update on what's been going on in the McClure house...

We are totally getting cabin fever here!  Oh how I long for the days of spring and weekend trips to the zoo...  Until then, we have to get creative on how to make the time go by.
I love these two cuties!  Ok, seriously, look at J's and my hair in this picture.  And people wonder why they get a dumb look from me when they ask where she gets her red hair?!

Even though Taylor can't talk yet, these two have a secret way of communicating.  Look at them staring at each other, plotting against Mike and me!  Crazy kids... just last night at dinner, all Jaden did was look at T and they both immediately started laughing.  Mike and I wondered what joke we missed out on!  Oh, and lucky for us, Taylor is just as loud as Jaden... oh boy.

I am so proud of Jaden and the new things she learns each day!  She was so excited the other day when I picked her up from the babysitter becaus she put her shoes on ALL BY HERSELF!!  I was so excited and told her good job... then chuckled to myself :o)  I asked her if they were hurting her feet and she replied, "yeah, I need some new shoes.  Probably pink ones."  That's my girl!

Needless to say, we've been spending a lot of time in the kitchen! Jaden and Taylor are going to be master chefs and bakers when they get older! Notice my fingernails in this picture?  Well, when you have two little ones to look after, you kind of need a free hand!  I didn't get around to painting the other hand right away... actually it was like 3 or 4 days later.

Jaden has also implemented a new nightly family tradition. After dinner, we crank up the volume on the computer and get dancing to our favorite songs: Hey Soul Sister, Fireflies, Smile, Hey There Delilah and 1-2-3-4 I Love You. It's a lot of fun and requires participation from the whole family! I'll bet you're looking forward to being invited to our house for dinner now, aren't you?

Last Friday was National Go Red for Women Day for heart disease awareness.  The girls and I celebrated by wearing red!  J and I are cracking up in this picture because Taylor was fascinated with her socks... I had to take them off to get her to look up for the picture!  Probably one of those "you had to be there" moments but it was still fun :o)

Another proud mom moment... look what Jaden made at the babysitter's!!  Funny thing is when the light shines through the window, you can see her brush strokes and she says, "My bear has a dirty face.  We need to wash him."  I love that kid :o)

That's about it for now!  Have a great day and Merry Christmas Eve ;o)  It's gonna be a good one tonight!!

No, don't worry. A lot of people didn't understand my "basic gray" pun in my post today..... There's a scrapbooking company called Basic Gray and I was just being dumb :) I used to work at a scrapbook store so anyways....
