That's right. Kidney stones. Not one, but FIVE! He woke up early Sunday morning feeling like he had a urinary tract infection. I asked him right away if it was a kidney stone and he said he didn't think so because there was no blood or back pain (he's a pro at these, you know), just the constant feeling of having to go to the bathroom. I rolled over and told him we'd get some cranberry juice. About ten minutes later, he was pacing the floor, holding the right side of his lower back. Kidney stone. It was 6:45, not TOO early to call his mom to come over to sit with the girls so I could take him to the ER. So, for our romantic Valentine's Day get-away, we followed the blue streak!
Mike and I have pretty much become regulars at Dupont (babies, Dr. appointments, kidney stones, surgeries, etc.) so we knew the drill... check-in, gown, IV, coffee (for me), x-ray, pee in a cup. Mike was at the bathroom leaving his sample when I hear whoops and claps out in the hall. I look outside and see Mike, in his gown, talking to the nurses. They were congratulating him on passing his stone! He has never passed it so fast so we were relieved to have it over and done with... until the Dr. came with the news that he still had FOUR MORE! Are you serious?? Three in his right kidney and one in his left (which happens to be his first one in the left). Ohfreakingjoy. Home we went... to wait... still waiting.
The rest of the day was so much fun! We went to the grocery store and Jaden got to pass out her treats to our friends there. Then we went to Bisque It to exchange gifts with Gramma J and Grampa Max!
You'll have to wait until Wednesday to see her treats!
Then, we exchanged gifts at home after naps!
Jaden got Max and Ruby dolls!!!
Taylor got a new puppy!
Jaden painted her dad a heart-shaped magnet...
The girls got me some cute little chocolates :o) Jaden got to pick them out all by herself!
Then, we had heart-shaped pizza for dinner!
It was a great day... I love these girls :o)
