Spooky Sticks

A while ago, I bought three square vases in hope of changing them for each season or holiday.  I got the idea from Karla at It's the Little Things.  She filled hers with candy corn and sticks last Halloween.  I bookmarked that post and actually did it this year!  It is such a cheap, easy decoration.  J loves the "spooky sticks" in the entryway!

All I did was buy 3 bags of candy corn and dump a bag in each vase.

Then, J and I headed outside to find some sticks.  I broke them down and we spray painted them black.

Finally, we stuck them in the vases for a spooky Halloween decoration!  I think I'm going to leave them up through fall... maybe add a pine cone turkey or two :o)

"Is this one spooky, Mom?"

Thanks for the inspiration, Karla!  I'm linking this idea up to all of my linky friends this week :o)

Thanks for coming to A Crafty Soiree and sharing:) This is a really neat and simple way to decorate for the holiday and I really like how it uses nature too! I hope you'll come back next week too, we love to see familiar faces!

It's like natural sculpture. I'm sure they left great creepy shadows on the wall, too. Thanks for linking up to Sunday Art Therapy at Seeds on a Breeze. Hope to see you again this week.
