I finished up my summer reading with Holly Peterson's The Manny. It was a really great book! Jamie Whitfield is a working mom in Manhattan's "Grid". Because of her workaholic husband's crazy schedule and lack of time to spend with their children, Jamie hires a manny (male nanny). She first meets Peter Bailey in the park directing children in a human chess game. She knows immediately that he is the guy for the job. Plus, with a HUGE story developing at NBS (the station she works for), Jamie is running out of time to find help for her 9-year-old son, Dylan. Peter begins working for Jamie and you'll NEVER believe what happens.... she falls for him!!! Who would've thought THAT was going to happen?!?! Anyway, I'm not going to tell you all of the details like I did in Drop Dead Beautiful, because unlike that book, I really recommend this one! It's definitely one you won't want to put down :o) I give it * * * * *
Now, I'm starting my fall reading list with Randy Pausch & Jeffrey Zaslow's Last Lecture. I'm two chapters into it and am loving it, BUT becoming very sad only because I know how it ends... I'll blog this one on September 15.
