It's "Taylor" Made!

Mike and I have decided that our new little baby girl will be named Taylor Maxine. It's a cute little name and sounds good with Jaden. I actually had someone who knows my family very well ask me where Maxine came from! DUH!! My dad's name is Max... see any connection?? We've already started having Jaden practice saying Taylor... comes out more like "Tayer" though :o) Oh, and I SWEAR on everything I love that this was NOT planned, but isn't it kind of cute that we have cats named Jude and Ty and now daughters named Jaden and Taylor? Hehe!!

I believe (and I'm sure any mom of more than one will agree) that we become a little smarter (and more frugal) with each child we have. I found it completely stupid to spend over $150 on a new crib bedding set for her room. It's not that I don't care or that I think she is less important. Believe me, her room will be just as adorable as Miss Jaden's. I have just decided to put my Crafty Mama book to good use and MAKE Taylor's bedding accessories! I'm working on a cute little fleece quilt right now that is seriously going to be the end of my right hand. I have what, 5 ½ months left to get this thing done? It may just take me that long! It will be worth it though :o) Plus, it makes Mike happy because by working on this blanket, I can actually stay awake for an entire episode of Dancing With The Stars! Seriously though, Crafty Mama is an awesome book for anyone with kids and a glue gun (which I do not own but plan to very soon)! There are all kinds of cute things to make. Plus, it give you a skill level for each one as well as a time and cost graph. After buying the supplies for my quilt, I can tell you that what they think is expensive is not! I think my quilt had the highest cost rating and I spent around $20!! What a steal! I'll scan the directions and show you a pic of my finished product when I'm done. By the way, does anyone know if it is ok to put an iron on transfer on fleece?

I wasn't quite sure how to respond to you about the baby legs but thought I'd try here :) I usually order them from www.mom4life.com but there are tons of sites that carry them. Target, too! And some carry them IN the store as well, usually just online though. Hope that helps :)

What a beautiful name! My mom has the Crafty Mama book and uses it all the time. I'll have to pick one up when Husby and I start having kids :)

That Crafty Mama book sounds like something Oz would love! You know how much he loves building fun things. Hope to see you in the Land of Oz soon. :)
